New Orleans authorities have disclosed additional information pertaining to the death of Super Bowl reporter Adan Manzano after he was found unresponsive in his hotel room last week.

The 27-year-old covered Chiefs games for Telemundo in Spanish and had traveled with them ahead of Sunday’s big game. His death cast a dark cloud over proceedings, with investigators still trying to determine the circumstances.

Police arrested 48-year-old Danette Colbert on Friday after she was caught using Manzano’s credit cards at various stores in New Orleans.

Colbert, who is understood to have a criminal history and has drugged men in the past, was seen with the reporter on the morning of his death and was also seen leaving his hotel room, where his lifeless body was found several hours later.

Despite the above, she has not been charged with anything directly related to his death.

Investigation Into Super Bowl Reporter’s Death Being Held Up By Specific Report

On Saturday, Deputy Chief Mark McCormick told the New York Post that it could take “another three to four weeks” before the autopsy result returns, noting that the toxicology report from the coroner’s office is the main holdup.
