Travis Kelce got straight to the point in his post-game scrum following the Kansas City Chiefs’ ugly Super Bowl 59 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Chiefs’ bid for a three-peat ended in a thud, with the Eagles cruising to a 40-22 victory inside the Caesars Superdome. Kelce himself had a quiet day with only four catches for 39 yards in the defeat.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Travis Kelce immediately congratulated the Eagles and avoided mincing words about his team’s performance, per Sam Fortier of The Washington Post.
“You know, hats off to the Eagles man, they got after us, all three phases,” Kelce said before adding the Chiefs “haven’t played that bad all year.”

Kelce hasn’t committed to playing in 2025, with rumors about a potential retirement ramping up ahead of Super Bowl 59. Will the 35-year-old come back for another shot at a fourth ring, or was Sunday the final game of his illustrious career? Stay tuned.
Nothing Went Right For Travis Kelce & Chiefs
The Chiefs were outcoached and outplayed from start to finish, and no single player is at fault for it. Patrick Mahomes threw two interceptions and was sacked six times. His offensive line let him down, but Mahomes made some uncharacteristically bad decisions with the football as well.
Like Super Bowl 55, nothing went right for the Chiefs in a gut-wrenching defeat. All they can do is try to learn from it and let it fuel their desire for redemption next season.
