Cameras caught Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes curiously ignoring one of his teammates while dapping the others on the sidelines near the end of Super Bowl 59.
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs proved to be no match for the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59. Mahomes was sacked six times and threw two interceptions, including a pick-six to Cooper DeJean, in a miserable 40-22 loss that denied KC’s three-peat dream.
As Super Bowl 59 neared its conclusion, cameras showed Mahomes dapping his teammates on offense. This included JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquise Brown, Isiah Pacheco and Travis Kelce. But before acknowledging Kelce, Mahomes curiously walked past running back Samaje Perine and failed to greet him:
DAMN: #Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes dapped every one his teammates on the sidelines after the Super Bowl loss and then skipped just Samaje Perine…
😬
That’s rough.

Why exactly Mahomes ignored Perine is unclear. Perhaps there was a disagreement or argument of some sort between the two during the game that we don’t know about? Either way, it’s not like Mahomes to completely snub a teammate like that.
Patrick Mahomes & Chiefs Will Be Back
Losing a Super Bowl is never easy, but history tells us Mahomes and the Chiefs will be just fine. Remember, he followed up his gut-wrenching Super Bowl 55 loss with four straight trips to the AFC Championship Game, three conference titles and two Lombardi Trophies.
