Washington Commanders’ quarterback Jayden Daniels was in Los Angeles Saturday to support JuJu Watkins and the University of Southern California Trojans.
Regina Jackson, his mother, eventually made her way over and boxed out the University of Southern California basketball player to separate her from her son.
Jackson, who doubles as Daniels’ agent, stepped in between the two shortly after USC’s first-round NCAA Tournament game, where Watkins scored 22 points in the Trojans’ 71-25 win over UNC Greensboro.
JuJu Watkins was back in action on Monday night, but it wouldn’t be for very long.
Early in the first quarter, Watkins was on a fast break when she became entangled with a Mississippi State player. She immediately went down, grabbed her right knee, and was visibly in pain.
Watkins’ season was done as the USC star suffered a season-ending knee injury.
Fans would take to social media and start blaming Regina Jackson.
“Jayden Daniel’s mom has some secret dark arts going on, Juju Watkins talks to her son and then she tears her ACL? Let me wear my tinfoil hat,” one fan said.
“Single mothers who son up husbands like Regina Jackson refuse to recognize men should not be handled by their mother in the community is embarrassment USC superstar Juju Watkins will have season-ending knee surgery after this injury yesterday likely to miss next season,” a second fan added.
“I blame Regina Jackson for this….,” a third fan commented.
“Jayden Daniels mom is a witch!” a fourth fan stated.
One final fan said: “I blame Jayden Daniels mom for Juju getting hurt, bringing that negativity around her like that .”

USC announced that Watkins’s injury is season ending, and that she will undergo surgery. Per Shams Charania of ESPN, she suffered a torn ACL.
Based on the nine-month timeline, she would be sidelined for the remainder of the calendar year before returning to action sometime in 2026.
