The family of former MLB pitcher Tyler Walker has revealed that his older brother, Mark Walker, as well as his wife and son, Sara Sharkey Walker and Johnny Walker, are yet to be accounted for since the Texas floods.
The death toll is rising in Texas following the weekend flash floods, having reached 82 as of Monday afternoon. 41 people are still missing, including the trio mentioned above. Fortunately, Tyler’s niece, Ellie Walker, was rescued from Camp Mystic and is safe.
Tyler’s cousin, Angela Walker Murphy, shared the news via Facebook (H/T the Daily Mail), revealing that “My cousins Mark, Sara Sharkey Walker and their son are among the missing in the floods near Hunt.”
Angela urged anyone with information on their whereabouts to contact her.
“If anyone has info, please share so I can relay to my Aunt Kathy,” she added. “We have left our contact info with the shelters in the area and the Red Cross, but if there is something else, let us know. Please offer what you do for their safety.”
Tyler Walker Played In The MLB For 8 Years

Tyler Walker last featured in the MLB with the Washington Nationals in 2010, having made his debut with the New York Mets in 2002. He enjoyed the best period of his career from 2004 to 2008, having played two stints with the San Francisco Giants.
The death toll in TX is expected to rise past 100, per local authorities.
Ten girls and a counselor from Camp Mystic are still missing, with 27 people, including the director, reportedly perishing.
Authorities are facing criticism, with questions arising on why residents and youth camps along the river were not alerted sooner and ordered to evacuate.
Survivors described the floods as a “pitch black wall of death,” adding that they received no warnings.
