Travis Kelce roasts Patrick Mahomes after Chiefs QB attacks TE for attending Dallas Stars’ playoff game: “You’ve never even skated!”

Travis Kelce surprised many with his attendance in Game 2 of the NHL conference finals between the Dallas Stars and the Edmonton Oilers. Kelce’s teammate from the Kansas City Chiefs had a few choice words to offer following his presence at a hockey game. However, the tight end did not back down and gave a roast-worthy response.

The Stars leveled the series, winning the game 3-1. However, this game was extra memorable for the NFL fans as the Chiefs royalty showed their support for the matchup.Travis Kelce was at the American Airlines Center, while Patrick Mahomes was enjoying the game from his home. Mahomes, a native of Texas, showed his support for the Stars on X (formerly Twitter) while also throwing a bit of shade at his TE Kelce.

“Yo get out of my arena!! @tkelce go @DallasStars!!!” Mahomes wrote.

The nine-time Pro Bowler Kelce responded to the tweet from his QB and in doing so, he revealed a fact about the two-time NFL MVP Mahomes. Kelce replied:

“Gotta love playoff hockey baby!!! You’ve never even skated!”

Travis Kelce has played with the hockey stick

Both brothers, Jason and Travis Kelce, were avid hockey players in their youth. They played on the same team for their school as well. Hence the jab at Patrick Mahomes for not skating.

Kelce’s tweet from 2014 resurfaced, sharing his love and appreciation of hockey. Kelce, a year after being drafted by the Chiefs, tweeted:

“I really love Hockey. I haven’t stepped on the nice since I quit after playing 8 years … But that’s got to change! I miss it too much.”

Life had a completely different path set for Travis Kelce as he ditched hockey and basketball to enter the gridiron from his college days. And he will be able to showcase that talent as he steps on the field against the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 8 to start the new season in the hunt for a three-peat with the Chiefs.
