Syko Stu probably always dreamed of being talked about in the media and on social media, but he had no clue it would come as a result of him being assaulted by Raja Jackson.
Stu’s family released an update on the wrestler following a violent attack by MMA fighter Raja Jackson on Saturday night.
Raja Jackson appeared at a KnokX Pro Wrestling event in Los Angeles, and he promptly took things to a violent level that could have him in prison for years. Instead of following the choreographed script that professional wrestling requires, Raja unleashed a vicious attack on wrestler Stuart “Syko Stu” Smith.
The Los Angeles Police Department is now investigating the incident that was broadcast on the livestreaming platform Kick and showed Jackson slamming Stuart Smith to the mat before standing over him and punching him several times in the head.
Smith lay motionless in the ring after he was struck more than two dozen times in the face. Raja, who was caught on camera incriminating himself before the assault, had to be restrained by several other wrestlers before he inflicted more damage.
Jackson has been getting blasted online for his actions, but now, one former WWE star is shifting some of the blame to Stu.
Mark Henry Partially Blames Syko Stu For The Raja Jackson Incident
WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry has offered his perspective on the controversial Raja Jackson incident, suggesting that Smith deserves some blame for hitting Jackson with a beer can before the event.
Henry implied that Smith, as a wrestling veteran, should have behaved more sensibly toward a guy who only had three amateur and two professional MMA fights to his name.
“You’ve got to be careful, one, who you’re messing with,” Henry said to TMZ. “And, two, what kind of example are you as a veteran for inciting a riot with a kid?”
Henry added to his argument, believing that Syko Stu had “bit off more than he could chew.”
Henry made sure not to lay all the blame at Smith’s feet.
The World’s Strongest Man stated that Jackson needed to exhibit self-control and that should’ve begun with “having enough respect for the business.”
“If indeed what I saw was what I saw, which is people before the show, during the daytime, drinking and intoxicated or partially intoxicated, and you bust a bottle over a guy’s head and talk trash like that guy was not going to do nothing, yeah, you’re at fault,” he added.
