Olympic Star Vomits On Live TV After Being Forced To Swim In Polluted Paris River

A Canadian Olympic star vomited on live TV after being forced to swim in the River Seine.

For over a century, swimming in the Seine was banned as it was too polluted to be classed as safe – swimmers risked catching diseases if they swallowed the filthy water.

However, with the Olympics taking place this summer, certain events such as the triathlon and marathon swimming were permitted after organisers carried out extensive and costly tests to attempt to make it safe – a total of around $1.5 billion was spent in an attempt to prepare the river for the games.

The water quality failed many tests in the few days before it was required due to rain causing runoff pollution and sewage issues.

Tyler Mislawchuk, one of the athletes who competed in the Seine, hadn’t long passed the finish line in ninth place when he was spotted aggressively throwing up. Possibly a combination of the polluted water and the 86F temperatures.

During an interview, he shared:  “I didn’t come here to come top 10 but I gave it everything I had.

“I went for it, I have no regrets – vomited 10 times.”

Yikes…
