Baseball fans are making the same savage joke about “Phillies Karen” after Chicago Cubs legend Anthony Rizzo’s viral home run ball moment at Wrigley Field on Saturday.

For those who missed it last week, “Phillies Karen” is the nickname assigned to a woman who berated a fellow Phillies fan after he obtained Harrison Bader’s home run ball in the Sept. 5 game against the Miami Marlins at LoanDepot Park.

The man got the baseball for his son but reluctantly gave it to the woman during the confrontation to diffuse the situation. The moment went viral on social media, with praise for the family over how they handled the situation.

After announcing his retirement earlier this week, Anthony Rizzo was honored at the Cubs’ home game against the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday afternoon. In a wild one-in-a-million scene, Rizzo almost caught the home run ball off the bat of Cubs rookie Moisés Ballesteros in the second inning, but he couldn’t quite complete the barehanded catch.

Talk about a fitting first career homer for Ballesteros.

The Marlins and Phillies came together to pay it back to the father and his family. They were awarded a prize pack, an autographed Bader bat (the son got to meet Bader), an RV and tickets to the 2025 World Series.

After Anthony Rizzo’s viral home run ball moment, fans made the same hilarious joke about the Karen incident.

“Look out! Here she comes….,” a user wrote with the Karen GIF.

“notice how Rizzo doesn’t demand the guy gives the ball to him?! beey thoughtful. very mindful. very demure,” wrote a fan.

“I believe the strategy is to run over people then take the ball from a kid while screaming at him,” joked another.

“On Anthony Rizzo Day, while sitting in the bleachers, the Cubs’ first run is a HR hit right at him — he misses the catch but still celebrates like the ultimate anti-Karen,” wrote a fan.

“This ball is rightfully his! Rizzo should go Karen back his deserved property!” joked a user.

“That Karen Phillies fan should take notes at what Rizzo did with that ball,” said a user.

The Rays went on to win 5-4, but not before Rizzo got the perfect sendoff from the team that he helped to a 2016 World Series championship.
