Mississippi Delta Community College football player Emanuell Cooks had a lot more life to live, but he will never get to realize it.
Cooks died on Sept. 18 following a game at Hinds Community College, the school announced the very next day.
The school said Cooks died “due to medical complications following the football game.”
No official cause has been announced for the death of Emanuell Cooks.
Emanuell Cooks is the latest college or high school athlete to die in 2025.
Just last week, St. Olaf College linebacker Matthew Lee was reportedly gunned down in Minnesota.
The death also follows a Florida State football player getting shot hours after a win over Alabama last month.
