After being insulted by a fan for declining to take a picture, Kylie Kelce defended herself. Over Memorial Day weekend, Kylie and her husband, Jason Kelce, were leaving for a low-key date night in Margate City, N.J., when a woman approached them and requested to take a selfie.
According to the Philadelphia-based podcast Word to the Wise, the woman attempted to grab the Kelces’ attention while they were either sitting in “traffic or in their car.” The podcast was able to collect footage of the heated exchange. Several onlookers informed the outlet that Kylie “politely” declined, which infuriated the woman, who then attacked the couple.

The woman seen in Kylie’s face over Memorial Day weekend is now speaking out for the first time.
“In a heated moment, I said things that were out of character for me, and that I regret, and for that, I am sorry,” Andrée Goldberg said in a statement obtained by WPVI.
Goldberg was seen yelling, “You’ll never be allowed in this town again, I don’t care who you are,” after the Kelces declined to take a photo with her while out on a date night at Steve & Cookie’s in Margate. Kylie responded, “I can smell the alcohol on your breath. You’re embarrassing yourself.”
Goldberg claims she apologized to Jason and Kylie Kelce directly on Saturday.
“I want to publicly apologize to them, and our community. My anger and my actions are not who I am and certainly not indicative of the welcoming community of Margate,” the woman said.

In response to the gone-viral confrontation, Margate Mayor Michael Collins issued a formal apology to Kylie and Jason Kelce.
Collins made the public apology via a post on Margate City’s official Facebook page.
Collins apologized on May 29 on Margate City’s Facebook page, stating that as a father of his own children, he knows the value of spending time on a date night with your spouse. He was so adamant that he proposed to cover the couple’s dinner bill.
