Just When You Thought It Couldn’t Get Any Worse, New York Giants Decide To Embarrass Daniel Jones Even More With Their Latest Announcement

Daniel Jones just cannot seem to catch a break.

The New York Giants are headed into a new era after they announced that Jones would be benched in place of Tommy DeVito going forward.

This decision ends his tenure there as his contract has language that would force the team to pay him should he get injured and not be able to pass his physical in March.

The decision has only gotten even more embarrassing following the latest news.

A new report states that Giants head coach Brian Daboll has yet to decide whether Daniel Jones or Tim Boyle will be the third-string quarterback for this upcoming game.

That means there is a big chance that Jones could be demoted all the way to QB4.

If he never plays another down, his season will end with him completing 63.3% of his passes for 2,070 yards, eight touchdowns, and seven interceptions.

Throughout his six-year NFL career, Daniel Jones has totaled 14,582 yards, 70 touchdown passes, 47 interceptions, and a 64.1 completion percentage.

Daniel Jones Never Lived Up To His Massive Deal

After six seasons, the Daniel Jones experiment is over. The New York Giants pulled the plug on him as the starting quarterback on Monday.

The team benched him for quarterback Tommy DeVito.

Jones signed a four-year, $160 million contract to return to the Giants after the 2022 season. The team saw value in him over Saquon Barkley. That was a huge mistake.

He hasn’t performed well during the 2024 NFL season, leading the Giants to just a 2-8 record through 10 weeks. In the meantime, Saquon is flourishing.
