Another Texas murder trial involving a high school student who stabbed another is ongoing but has quietly flown under the radar amid the Karmelo Anthony case.
Anthony has been charged with murder after stabbing Austin Metcalf to death at a high school track meet in Frisco earlier this month and has since made bail.
His case is not the only one of its kind taking place in Texas at the moment, however, as the trial of a student who admitted stabbing his classmate to death a few years ago began this week.
Caysen Allison is on trial for murder right now for stabbing Joe Ramirez to death during a fight at a TEXAS high school.
His $1 million bond was reduced to $175,000.

Caysen Allison, who is now 21, confessed to killing Joe Luis Ramirez Jr., who was 18 at the time. The 2022 incident took place in a boys’ bathroom at Belton High School, according to an affidavit obtained by People.
Allison’s lawyer argued in his opening statement on Monday that his client was defending himself from Ramirez and a group of his friends.

Following Monday’s opening statements, jurors were shown a video of the incident on Tuesday. In it, Ramirez is shown throwing a punch at Allison, who, in turn, swings at him while holding a knife. Teenagers are seen running out of the bathroom after Ramirez ends up getting cornered.
Allison has been under house arrest since July 2022, with the incident having taken place in May of that year. He posted a $175,000 bail after it was reduced from $1 million and is facing anything between five and 99 years in prison if he’s convicted.
Unlike in the case of Karmelo Anthony, the victim managed to leave the scene of the stabbing and was pronounced dead at hospital after a school nurse tried to save his life.
He was stabbed multiple times, in the chest, back, legs, and arm.
Meanwhile, Anthony remains under house arrest himself after posting $250,000 bail following a reduction from $1 million as well.
