Young football players are getting ready for their seasons to begin everywhere around the country. Unfortunately, some of them won’t be able to live out their dreams.

In June, 16-year-old Xyere Brooks from Camden, New Jersey, was pronounced dead after he was tragically shot and killed. He had D1 schools like Syracuse and Rutgers interested in him.

Now, Social media is in mourning after four young football players died “suddenly” before the start of the 2025 season.

Four different High school football teams are still in shock after the loss of a friend and a teammate.

Preston Malone III, a 15-year-old high school sophomore, Joshua Anderson, a 16-year-old from Memphis, and Micah King, a 15-year-old high school football player from Atlanta, all passed away either from heat-related issues or suffering a medical emergency during practice.

One 18-year-old tragically died as a result of a car accident.

This unfortunate news comes less than 48 hours after former college football player Bailey Lenney was killed in a crash at a farm in Franklin Township in Gloucester County.
