Back in 2018, Adam “Pacman” Jones found himself in a fight at Atlanta’s Hartsfield–Jackson International Airport, but he did not get in trouble as it was a case of self defense.
The 13-year veteran was caught on tape exchanging words with airport employee Frank Ragin, but only getting physical after getting shoved and punched by Ragin first.
Two punches sent the man to the floor, where the longtime Bengals cornerback added one last punch to the aggressor.
It turns the issue between them involved another former athlete.
During an interview on the Pat McAfee Show, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal says the altercation happened because Pacman was sticking up for him.

“You whooped that dude’s ass because he was disrespecting me.”
Jones wasn’t cited for his role in the altercation, and according to Atlanta police, declined medical attention for a facial laceration afterward.
The other guy was sentenced to one year in jail and about one year of probation. He also had to complete 70 hours of community service and stay away from Jones. Given that he lost his job at the airport, it shouldn’t be too hard for him to stay away from Pacman.
